Introducing a novel focus group method to observe and improve patient-provider dialogue: the N-of-8® Group Revolution technique
 
In real-world practice, the medical visit interaction between patient and provider is central to optimal outcomes, and is dependent on effective patient-provider dialogue. Therefore, a limitation of traditional healthcare research focus groups is conducting separate groups of either patients or physicians.
 
This ebook describes a novel methodology called “N-of-8® Group Revolution,” designed to further understand the dynamic relationship in patient communication.  A detailed description of the technique is presented, along with a prototype moderator discussion guide. Results from research in four medical conditions are highlighted.
